HISTORY

Axel Shoe Company is a traditional shoemaker company established in 2023. Starting from small shoemaking orders from local friends, the Brand started by embodying the spirit of handwork in mind. Now, the Brand focuses on the timelessness of the hand making without compromising the quality. Every style, leather and detail of the making is conceived in the workshop to create truly an Axel Shoe.

More than just a shoe, the shoes become your companion throughout your ever changing lifestyle.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

Axel Shoe Company know-how is a combination of traditional shoemaking technique and a more modern approach of assembly. Our workshop in Indonesia, where all the collections are crafted, are produced using only traditional hand making techniques.

It takes one month to produce a pair of shoes and over 150 procedures are required for each model (picking the leather, cutting the leather, stitching the upper, cutting the sole, assembly, hand finishing, etc.).

LEATHER

Axel Shoe Company proudly uses only the finest grade leather from reputable tanneries. Our leather soles are made in Germany and Brazil, while our leather and suede uppers come from European Origin or local reputable origin.

THE ART OF SHOES

Made-by-measure

Since the very beginning, our shoes have always been available in a made-by-measure system. Our team takes sizing in store to create a truly fitted pair for you. Then our customer will wait around 2-4 weeks before receiving their pair of shoes.

Resole

In lasting your shoes with the Goodyear Stitch or Blake Stitch, we make it possible for them to receive several resoles over their lifetime.This kind of quality resoling, practised in the manufacture workshop, consists in undoing the stitching, stitch by stitch, before assembling the new sole, upper and welt with new stitchings.

The closed channel stitching unique to Axel Shoe features a results where the stitching are not visible, due to how the channeling is made before stitching the soles.
